Greetings,

Another installment of the TUG newsletter ...

- 2005 is an election year for TUG, and there are two candidates for TUG
President: Karl Berry and Lance Carnes. We expect to mail paper
ballots fairly soon, to allow time for the postal services to do their
work. If you haven't renewed yet, and want to participate in the
election, do please do so as soon as possible. We may also be able to
offer electronic voting, but this is not yet certain.

- TUGboat 24(3), an enormous 320+ page issue of the EuroTeX 2003
conference proceedings, has shipped to TUG members for 2003. If you
were not a member then, you can order printed copies through the TUG
store (http://tug.org/store/). It will also be available online.

- Practical TeX 2005 will take place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina,
from June 14-17, 2005. The keynote speaker will be Nelson Beebe,
and many other excellent speakers are planning to attend.
A few slots are left for proposals; please see the web site for
information and registration. The deadline for the early bird
  discount registration is March 31.

sponsored by TUG and CTUG (the Chinese TeX User Group).
If you would like to apply for financial support to attend TUG 2005,
please see http://tug.org/bursary/ ASAP -- deadline is March 25, 2005!

- The Interview Corner area on the TUG web site continues to grow,
thanks to Dave Walden, coordinator (and new TUG board member).
There are now interviews with Lance Carnes, Robin Fairbairns, Klaus
Hoeppner, and Dan Luecking, with more to come. If you have ideas for
interview subjects, or would like to conduct an interview, please
contact Dave (info on the web site).

As always, please don't hesitate to contact us (tug-news at tug.org) with

Sincerely,
Karl Berry (President) on behalf of the TUG Board
