I think it would be ok to post projects even without a known mentor.
It's possible that interested students would be able to find a
mentor themselves, perhaps for a modified version of the project.
We just have to clearly identify such projects, so students know this is
part of what they'd need to do.

One of us still has to write up the proposal in a postable form, though.
