I run it with
latex pstpdf3.tex
dvips -o pstpdf3-pics.ps pstpdf3.dvi
ps2pdf -dAutoRotatePages=/None pstpdf3-pics.ps pstpdf3-pics.pdf
pdflatex -shell-escape pstpdf3
and got the files picture1 ..4.eps
running on Linux/TeXLive
However, if you need the pictures you can also try
pst2pdf <file>
