[pstricks] Strikeout macro

All,

I am going to work some fractions problems. I have a need of a  
\strikeout macro that I can use to show cancellation. What is should  
do is:

\strikeout{(x+1)}

Would typeset (x+1) and cross it out with a red diagonal line.

Thus, \strikeout should adjust to whatever the braces surround. That  
is, it should work equally well with \strikeout{2} as it does with  
\strikeout{(x+1} or \strkeout{x^2-2x-3}.

Can anyone help?
