Thank you, Michael. I see the \nput{} command in TLGC2, but not the
\nbput{} command.

Interesting. I read that papersize had specific names (letter, legal, a4),
but not tabloid, and did not see that word as a command. Another good
lesson.

Aha! You made the same error I do each and every time I use the multicol
package. :-) The package name is singular (multicol), but the environment is
plural (multicols). This always throws me for a loop. Sigh.
Now progress has been made, but for one niggling detail: the figures are
not displayed. I don't see why. I've attached the corrected code.
