[pstricks] Semi transparent rectangle.

For a magazine cover I need to use a photo for the background  then lay 
semi-transparent rectangles across the page and put text on top of the 
rectangles.  I know I can do all this with pstricks and so on except for the 
semi-transparent rectangles which darken the underlying photo wthout totally  
obscuring  it.  Is there a way to use semi-transparency in Pstricks?  How?
