[pstricks] Pictures with PSTRICKS

Hello,

I have a question related to the use of pictures with
PSTRICKS.

I use a background image on a document and I'd like to
put a picture over it. The problem I have is that
there's a white square around my new picture. Is it
possible to have a transparent background when using
EPS pictures or can I use another format than EPS.
