Scientific WorkPlace uses TrueTeX, which does not have a dvi-to-ps driver;
therefore, there is no driver to translate the postscript code in the form of
TeX's specials. In other words, I doubt PSTricks will work with SWP.

The situation is slightly more complicated. The version of TrueTeX that SW
uses is not the full commercial version. The publicity for the full commercial
version states (or at least stated about one year ago) that it implemented the
dvips specials. This is not true. It only includes those specials that enable
you to import eps files. Be careful.
On the other hand, it is very easy to write using the SW interface, and to
compile the file (which is a standard LaTeX file) with another implementation
of TeX, which will then do all you need to understand the PSTricks code. I use
MikTeX and am very happy with this arrangement.
