  Thank you to try to help user that I can't really help myself, as it seems
really dependent of his (La)TeX implementation.

  P.S. I had also some personal exchanges with Derek Martin during the last
weeks (at least being able to solve a simple problem he had with the \showgrid
macro), but all my last messages were also bounced and without answers. His
site seems to have (or had have) some mailing problems [as unfortunately many
of you: for each message on this list, I receive as administrator many bounced 
mails and various insanities...]
