I paid 68 DM (34 Euro) more than two decades ago.  The current price
is amazing.  I suppose that Springer attempts to make sure that the
book is still available in 20 years.

It's a great book though.

There is also "TeX by Topic" by Victor Eijkhout.  If you have TeX Live
installed just type

  texdoc texbytopic

on the command line and it's yours.
