[pdftex] group object is lost if there is an xform object

Indeed, time to put on another hat :). One or another of you guys have
written all the PDF enhancement stuff, as far as I can recall. For which
the TeX world is extremely grateful, to be sure.

    (I will have a look at this too, I guess.)

All to the good. I wasn't sure which particular piece applied.
