My limited experience with lualatex shows that it is backward
compatible with pdflatex and if some front-end comes with the default
engine lualatex instead of pdflatex, 99% of users would not notice
this.

I am missing the respect to links (internal or external) when
including pdf (via pdfpages f.e., attachfile is a
