[pdftex] Incorrect pdf produced from a single correct pdf file

...and when one uses a current pdftex, the embedded object stream is
_not_ copied verbatim but it obviously ends up in the PDF file as a
different stream (bytes differ). So the guess is that indeed the PDF is
decrypted by the xpdf library before embedding and then it's included
without encryption. How could this be? It can't work for general
encrypted PDF files?
