I can open the file test.pdf without problems in Acrobat 6.0
Professional on OS X, however when I tried to preflight it, I get "An
error ocurred while parsing a content stream. Unable to analyze the
PDF file."

The file dia1d.pdf by itself preflight without problems, and so does

I don't speak pdf, so I can't be of any help actually solving the
problem. In the short term though, the usual "Save as PostScript" and
re-distill takes care of the problem here.
