DID YOU ACTUALLY READ THEM? DO THIS! NOW!

Your installation is busted somehow: amstex.ini succeeds in feeding
the amstex _binary_ to TeX, which of course doesn't work.

THIS IS NOT A PDFTEX PROBLEM.
