[pdftex] PNG transparency problem

Yes, my TeXLive is from 2003 CD.

I tried the update and screwed up my distribution pretty well. All
sorts of font stuff not working --- but I did get transparency!

Not to worry, I backed up my /usr/TeX before starting.

Its time I bought a fresh TeXLive CD anyway and made another donation
to you all!
