i've already suggested (off list) that carsten urges them to submit
their email addresses to the ctan catalogue.

imo, that's good enough.  if they're available via a list, that makes
contact easy, but direct contact will always be possible by extracting
the authors file from the cvs, which has appropriately obfuscated
email addresses in it.

personally, i'm bothered by keeping people's email addresses openly on
the web, in their dtx files.  (i've given up caring about my own,
but...)
