[pdftex] font problem

Hi, I use debians installation of tetex and pdftex, but I get these warnings
when I'm creating a pdf file and the text can't be read.
Warning: pdflatex (file ecrm0700): Font ecrm0700 at 118 not found
Warning: pdflatex (file ecrm1000): Font ecrm1000 at 118 not found
Warning: pdflatex (file ecbx1200): Font ecbx1200 at 118 not found
Warning: pdflatex (file ecbx1440): Font ecbx1440 at 118 not found
Warning: pdflatex (file ecrm1200): Font ecrm1200 at 118 not found
Warning: pdflatex (file ecrm1728): Font ecrm1728 at 118 not found
xpdf give me these errors when viewing:
Error: font resource is not a dictionary
Error: font resource is not a dictionary
Error: Unknown font tag 'F18'
Error (225): No font in show/space
Error: Unknown font tag 'F19'
Error (267): No font in show/space
Error (291): No font in show/space
my latex file start out like this:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[pdftex]{graphicx}
\usepackage[pdftex]{hyperref}
what is wrong? how can I fix it? Sorry if I'm silly, I'm a tex-newbie..
