[pdftex] crop marks

it seems that crop.sty has the notion of two page sizes (one for the
actual format with its crop marks, and another one for the larger media
on which it is placed [typically centered])

I suppose you have to input first geometry, and then crop.

I also suppose that your problem is more of an interaction with
hyperref's annoying tendancy to equalize Latex's papersize and pdftex's
pdfpagesizes. 

You can overcome this by simply setting \pdfpagewidth and \pdfpageheight
to the "large medium" geometry just before \begin{document}.

Up to somme offset/margins/origin twickling, it worked for me.

The other annoying thing being that crop is incompatible with the
current implementation of pagecolor.
