[pdftex] color pblm \includegraphics

Dear Pdftex Users,
I noticed a color problem with \includegraphics. I have a pdf
colored figure (a 256 colormap from matlab) that looks fine in acroread
but when incorported into my latex document with \includegraphics, the
colors are completely gone!
Is there any special instruction I am missing in \includegraphics ?
