[pdftex] epic, eepic in pdflatex

 Hello.
I am having problems using pdflatex with epic and eepic styles files. I am
getting the following messages and the resulting pdf file leaves blank 
where figure should appear.
Non-PDF special ignored!
Non-PDF special ignored!

According to the pdftex manual, epic,eepic environment should work since 
it is nothing but latex picture environment. I will be grateful for your help
on  this matter. Thanks.
