[pdftex] /pdfinfo {/Producer (foo)} not working

Hi,
when the attached file is run through pdfTeX, Version
3.14159-14f-released-20000525 (Web2C 7.3.1), the /Producer key in
/pdfinfo is ignored. Am I doing something wrong?
