[pdftex] letter-sized manual on pdftex.org corrupt?

I experienced the same problem: after viewing the first page, acrobat 
reader would fail with the error message:
  There was an error processing a page. 
  There was a problem reading this 
  document (109).

Regenerating the file (at my site) made the problem go away. 
I replaced corrupted file on tug.org with my copy (the old
one is saved in pdftex-l.pdf.broken).
