I just built pdftex-20010806 on SGI Irix 6.5 using gcc 2.95.2 and don't
have the problem there, so this looks like a linux (Mandrake 7.1) issue.
I should do some more checking to make sure Mandrake has a current
marvosym.pfb, etc., and try to come up with a small test file, but it
may be a couple days before I can get to it.
