[pdftex] the same look pdflatex=latex

Hi,

this is my first posting in this mailing list. Maybe the question that I have 
is too stupid to answer. But anyway:

How can I achive the same output (same fonts, size, margins) of pdflatex like 
the output of latex?
The situation right now is that the output of pdfllatex is a little bit 
smaller in fontsize and fontspacing. Everyhting concentrates to the center of 
the document with the result that the margins in both directions are bigger 
than in the output of latex.

Where do I have to screw?
