I'm sorry to interfer in a specialist debate.

It is now simple in miktex, protext, texlive to use omega/lambda because
there include
in the distro.

But could Yannis or Martin tell me :

XeteX also seems to be here. But what I don't know is what is it suppose to
bring in addition. And is it as simple as lambda to use ? Is there and
user doc somewhere ?

Does LuaTeX, which is new, include in a distro and is there non-specialist
end-user doc to learn it and what does it basically bring in addition to ?

With this to programs, can you still write with Tex command ?

To conclude, there is a lot of somethingTex programms but anybody who begin
is quite lost in front of this world so maybe thereis a map of how this
programs interact to clearly advise beginner in regards to there need (I say
that because as a beginner I would like to write something simple like a
little chonology of the tex programs with site related and progress it
brings, language implied).

Regards,
