[metapost] \usepackage

1. Is there any way to use my own symbol created with metapost by setting 
  \usepackage(myownsymbollist}, just like using already made packages such as 
  \usepackage{textcomp}  or \usepackage[geometry]{ifsym} 
and use  \BigSquare which was defined in ifsym package to produce a square?

2. Is there any way I can put all these picture.1, picture.2,.. files 
(produced by mpost picture.mp) in one directory and could use from some other directories?
