[OS X TeX] TeX Live Utility 1.49 fails to update old TeXLive 2019 and leaves it unusable.

FWIW: I remember to encounter a similar problem a year ago or so.  The reason for that failure was a wrongly set path in TexLive Utility.  Be sure to set the symbolic link /Library/TeX/texbin as «Tex programs» in the preferences of TLU.
