I then opened all in TeXShop and combined all the windows using Windows->Merge All Windows to creat a single tabbed window. I even added a new tab (click the + at the right of the tab bar). If I click on a tab it selects that tab. But if I do this a bit I occasionally get a tab selected but the contents in the window are for the wrong file.

Herb,

thanks for checking –– it's always reassuring ti know it's "not me" :)

I now see this all the time. IN my case I have a root file that inputs a number of beamer frames. I open the root file and command-click on the PDF to open the source for different pages. Once a couple tabs are open the file names are scrambled. The correct name is the one at the top of the window, the tabs, however, seem confused.

What do you mean when you say "I can correct the contents by oduble-clicking the tab"?

Themis
