[OS X TeX] TeX throws error

Thank you Bill; I tried the configuration on TexLive Utility and forced some updates and it seems to be working. And I am not on an Apple-silicon; it is a a new MacBook Pro with Intel chips.

I am glad I am back to operational and I thank you for the suggestion.
