The base folder for the TeXLive distribution is by default hidden on Mac, inside /usr. Quickest way to get there is to open Terminal, execute command:

	open /usr/local/texlive

If you’re using TeXLive 2020, then look in

	 /usr/local/texlive/2020/texmf-dist/fonts

The Type 1 Computer Modern fonts themselves are in several subdirectories of

  	/usr/local/texlive/2020/texmf-dist/fonts/type1/public

including amsfonts/cm, amsfonts/cmextra, etc.
