[OS X TeX] TexShop hanging

Thank you for the suggestion Steve. I am not worried about the size, I am worried about the many included figures, etc that are in different folders in different places. I will need to organize them better before I pass this on to the publisher, of course, but I am not there and it will take me some time to get a fully compilable version.

In any case, Dick indicated he won’t be able to look at this for a while and I am not sure that it is my file anyway as this seems to be a known case. If I have the problem on another easier-to-pass file I would be happy to do it.

Best.

I have quit and restarted TeXShop, I have restarted the Mac, I have tried on machines with 64GB memory thinking that my big project might be causing problems, but all to no avail. As I noted, I can run the same document without problems (consistently) on texstudio but I’d rather not go there.

If that doesn't make things better maybe you can send the document file(s) to Dick Koch or Me and we can see if it happens (with any consistency) on our systems.
