[OS X TeX] magnifier in TeXShop 3.54 and El Capitan

Yes. And the effect is even worse on a non-retina screen. Wretched, actually. It looks the same as if you were looking at the actual physical screen with a high power magnifying glass, showing all pixels magnified. In contrast, the Skim magnifier tool is still working fine.
