Unfortunately it is Applescript which, all too often, seems to change syntax. That usually only happens with major OS updates, e.g., OS X 10.8->10.9, but now I'm seeing a problem with my update from OS X 10.9.2->10.9.3. I get a spinning wheel when I execute it and occasionally an error about not finding .tex.

Howdy,

A few more details. With the Preview window active I occasionally get the message

TeXShop got an error: Can’t get alias (file ":.tex").

on execution of the macro. (The macro should work if any of the Source, Preview or Console window is active.) If I then switch to the Source window it works. I get the spinning beachball if the file is in a directory with quite a few other files and folders (~100); no beach ball and things go quickly in directories with low population.

Good Luck,
