Interesting, thanks for the info.

I did play with iBooks Author a little earlier this afternoon and most plain LaTeX that I threw at it worked. It isn't clear to me how to number equations, label them, and reference them, but that is likely due to my lack of knowledge of iBooks Author. Unfortunately, it does not support much of the equation stuff in AMS-LaTeX, which may be a deal breaker for me.
