Putting all support files in

~/Library/texmf/

without trouble for me with both Lucida and MathTime Pro. Just put all the files in the right place and then run:

sudo updmap-sys --nohash --nomkmap --syncwithtrees
sudo updmap-sys --nohash --nomkmap --enable Map mtpro2.map
sudo updmap-sys --nohash --nomkmap --enable Map lucida.map
sudo updmap-sys

I hope this helps.
