On a command line:

	kpsewhich pdftex.map

The answer should be:

	/usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf-var/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap/pdftex.map

Then the system's MAP file is used. If the path name starts with /Users/<your login name>, then your private MAP file is used which wasn't updated yet.
