[OS X TeX] problem with \caption in Mactex 2009

Is this private CLS TeX Live 2009 compliant?

Can you create a *real* minimal example which does not work? How is  
\caption working with KOMA or standard LaTeX classes? How does it  
work with another caption class (usepackage)? (You probably start to  
think now of a plan to make 30 or 40 tests...)
