[OS X TeX] First Page Header vs. Subsequent Pages

I thought this situation was what \thispagestyle{myheader} was for. I  
seem to remember using this long ago, and the only caveat was having  
to make sure to put the \title \author in the preamble instead of the  
document.

Or something like that.
