[OS X TeX] Simple problem

Well, I am using the front hand, I mean GUI of Texshop for typing the  
text. Can any one tell me how
to change the colour of a words i am typing in Tex shop window.  
Whenever i try to change colour instead of changing
particular word it change the colour of whole document.

I am doing it just to keep note of things i am adding in old document
