Yes! Thanks to the answers to this question, I discover that I have  
indeed two installations of TeX. One older with fink on /sw/ and the  
new texlive2007 through i-Installer on /usr/.
I have deleted /sw/ (and saved it on a disk in case of problems!) and  
regenerated the new texlive2007.
No more problems. Thanks!
