[OS X TeX] How to split an acrobat file

If I understand you correctly your question is if there is a freeware  
tool to split a pdf file in multiple files (all being pdfs)?
You can use pdftk for such a task which is really a quite powerful  
command line tool.
If you do not like the command line you might want to have a look at  
PdfLab.app.
