I completely agree with you - the only drawback is that for this to  
work you need to have ssh access, which is in my experience rather  
uncommon (unless you are the admin or maybe in an intranet). Alain  
Schremmer did not reply to this yet, but I suspect that his questions  
are about uploading to an ftp server provided by a publisher; in this  
case I guess all ssh-based options are not too likely to be working.
But let's wait until Monday, when he renders his request more precisely…
