[OS X TeX] Autocompletion in TeXShop

An alternative approach is to define a user macro in TexShop instead  
of using autocompletio: Open the macro editor, create a new item and  
type

^{#SEL##INS#}

Then, select <command><shift>^ as the keyboard shortcut (or use some  
other combination of keys, if ^ is still a problem). This will print ^ 
{}  and place the cursor in the braces. On my US keyboard at least,  
this works.
