[OS X TeX] Installing 'makor' package on MacTeX

Sirs:

I am trying to install teh 'makor' package on my new Leopard installation, and the instructions in the package clash with the files in the system.  Whee makor would have me edit the psfonts.map file directly, I am advised to edit the updmap.cfg file or use a program to update it.  Can someone give me a walkthrough, telling me where to extract the 'makor' package first?
