BTW, I've found a rather easy way to get Emacs and PDFView jumping to the
appropriate page in the PDF, or resp., location in Emacs. The following
should be done once per a tex file:
- activate gwTeX distribution
- put the following line in the tex preamble and uncomment it:
\usepackage{pdfsync} %% with TeXLive-2007 (and up)
- run, for ex., in the Terminal:
texdist --texdist=TeXLive-2007 pdflatex '<file>.tex'
(I have created an AUCTeX commands in Emacs for versions of simpdftex in
gwTeX and TeXLive-07, which makes it even easier.)
pdfsync creates <file>.pdfsync which is responsible for the search
jumping. As long as you keep this file, you can switch back to gwTeX, but
- comment out:
%\usepackage{pdfsync} %% with TeXLive-2007 (and up)
