[OS X TeX] fontspec, disabling something.

You can use TextEdit for that, or any application that yields access  
to the font panel (Cmd-T): type in some text, select a font, click on  
the wheel-like button at the bottom of the panel, and in the menu  
that appears select Typography: you'll get another panel displaying  
all the switches applying to the selected font, and allowing to  
activate each of them through checkboxes.

I keep it around so that I keep access to files from my PhD thesis,  
prepared mostly with Claris applications (MacWrite II/Pro, MacDraw II/ 
Pro, Claris Draw, Claris Resolve) and also with Expressionist. Not to  
speak about Classic Textures, which I still need to open old files  
and convert them to PS then PDF.
