Actually not: while I discovered and reported in interaction with
pdflatex-1.40.1 it had been reported earlier and fixed with latex.
Looking at beamer bug forum one can see that certain issues have not
been yet addressed. Especially in such marginally applicable domain as
two-screen beamer
