For CMR &c., correct. Latin Modern, being Unicode will be recognized  
(but we're still waiting on a comprehensive math-encoding setup ---  
anyone find anything interesting in Cambria or heard anything from  
the Stixfonts project?)

I thought it had been dropped --- it's not as necessary as it once  
was, since .otf files are now available by default for LM, though  
Gerben's packaging is nicer in a graphical application since it  
groups them in a fashion similar to what was done for Computer Modern  
in NeXTstep.
