[OS X TeX] TeXShop and Illustrator again

I just tried this[1], placing the fonts in /Shared/Fonts/OpenType- 
Latin Modern/lm and activating them using Linotype Font Explorer and  
it ``just worked'' (this was for plain text only --- I doubt math  
will work).

1 - I downloaded the lm.zip archive from CTAN to get the ``lm''  
folder of 72 .otf files, and tested it with a .pdf generated by the  
document:

\documentclass{minimal}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{lmodern}
\begin{document}
Test
\end{document}
